With the every day grind, it is so easy to become over whelmed. What we typically don’t realize is how that impacts your bodies ability to recover and the ramifications it has on hormonal balance. At least once a week include recovery work in some capacity, here are some great ways to do so:
- Yoga- Can’t join a club or don’t know how to practice at home. Open up that computer and head over to doyogawithme.com. They provide some awesome free videos for a wide range of types and skill levels.
- Meditation- belly breathing and positive incantations can do wonders for your mindset and mood. Practice inhaling until your stomach expands for a long 5 count, hold for 10, and breathe out for 15 seconds. Repeat for 12 sets.
- Epsom salt bath- Epsom salt contains magnesium and sulfate that are easily absorbed through the skin. Benefits include support for muscle and nerve function, reducing inflammation and flushing toxins, and reducing headaches.
